Most carts run drum brakes on the rear with a cable to each side, and both the cables and the self adjusters seize in coastal air. The symptom is a pedal that goes soft, pulls to one side, or needs a long push before anything happens.
I pull the drums, measure and replace the shoes, clean and adjust the self adjusters, free or replace the cables, and set the pedal so both sides come on together. On hydraulic LSV brakes I inspect pads and rotors and bleed the system.
A tune-up is a full safety pass. Brakes checked and adjusted, steering and front end play measured, suspension and bushings inspected, tire pressure and wear set right, wheel lug torque checked, and the charging system verified.
On the electrical side I check pack health, cable ends, lights, horn, and any 12 volt accessory wiring, which on older carts is usually where somebody spliced something they should not have.
