The electric Drive2 is genuinely reliable, so most visits are maintenance rather than failure: pack testing, brake service, front end bushings, and charging receptacle wear. When something does fail it is usually the pack, a cable end, or the controller.
The Umax is a work vehicle and gets used like one, so brakes, bed hardware, and suspension see far more wear than a passenger cart of the same age.
Yamaha gas carts are the ones most likely to be sitting in a garage because of fuel rather than mechanicals. Modern ethanol fuel left in a carburetor for a season is the single most common reason a gas cart will not start or runs rough.
I service the fuel system, carburetor, filters, plugs, oil, and starter generator, and I check the clutch and belt. If your gas cart has sat for a year, expect the fuel system to be the whole story.
