E-Z-GO is the other cart I see constantly, and it splits cleanly into two service stories: the older TXT with a DCS or PDS system, and the RXV with its AC drive and regenerative braking. They fail in different places and I treat them differently.

The RXV uses an AC drive with regenerative braking and no traditional solenoid, so a car that will not move usually points at the motor controller, the MCOR pedal sensor, or the tow and run switch rather than a solenoid. RXV owners also need to know that the drive holds the car on hills, so a fault can feel like a brake problem.
The TXT with DCS or PDS is more conventional: solenoid, micro switches, and the pack account for most failures. The PDS controller and its speed settings are the usual culprit on a TXT that runs but behaves oddly.
Most of these carts are 48 volt, and the pack is the biggest single cost on the vehicle. I load test the pack and each battery, inspect cable ends and terminals for corrosion, and verify the charger actually completes a cycle rather than just switching on.
Any pack that is swollen, leaking, or heat damaged comes out of service and goes to a certified recycler. I never open or disassemble a pack.
E-Z-GO parts are widely available, so most repairs finish quickly. I carry the solenoids, micro switches, cables, and brake hardware that fail most often on TXT cars.
RXV specific electronics sometimes have to be ordered. I quote them before ordering and return to install.
