COASTLINE FIX

Where can I get my VanMoof repaired now that they are bankrupt?

Short answer. VanMoof went bankrupt in 2023 and its service network shut down. Mobile eBike mechanics with VanMoof experience are now the primary repair option. Third party parts and apps like Cowboy have filled some of the software gap.

Step by step

  1. Do not sell it, do not throw it out. A working VanMoof is still worth $800 to $1500 on the used market. Do not scrap it.
  2. Find a VanMoof capable mechanic. The bikes have proprietary parts and require specific tools. Confirm the mechanic has worked on VanMoof S3, X3, S5, or A5 before you book.
  3. Use the workaround apps. The community app Bikey and third party services now handle firmware, unlocks, and basic diagnostics that used to require VanMoof HQ.
  4. Source parts from third parties. Companies like BeeLine and independent shops now stock VanMoof compatible batteries, chargers, and motors.
