Rad Power and Lectric are the two most common eBikes in North County San Diego driveways. We service both constantly. Here's how they actually hold up - not marketing, just field observations.

Frame and build

• **Rad** - heavier, stiffer, feels more like a small motorcycle. Better on hills.
• **Lectric** - lighter, folding, more commuter-friendly. Weaker on steep La Costa climbs.

**Edge:** Rad, for anything hilly or utility.

Brakes

• **Rad** - hydraulic on newer models, real stopping power
• **Lectric XP** - mechanical (cable) discs; require frequent adjustment
• **Lectric XPremium** - hydraulic, much closer to Rad

**Edge:** Rad for stock brake performance.

Battery and range

• **Rad** - 48V 14Ah packs across the line, $500 replacement, easy to source
• **Lectric** - 48V 10.4–14Ah depending on model, $400 replacement, direct-order only

• Buy **Rad** if you have hills, want utility (rack, cargo, kids), or plan to ride 2,000+ miles/year
